Two weeks, (which were all that one was allowed to stay in Thailand) floated by in a  long languid pageant of days bathed by soft solar balm, sand and seas so fine and clear that light glistened on the surface ripples and eddies, then penetrated to the sea-bed where clarity was the rule, rather than the exception.

The tidal reach was not large, so when the tide was out, it was possible to wade out to a couple of small islands possibly five or six hundred yards off  Lipe island in waist high water to take a look at the fish life and coral beds (sadly, already undermined).

Left Lipe with some sadness as life was indeed, good there.
