Got back into Kuala Lumpur at 19:00 on 16.12.14, dumped my bags at Suzie’s Guest House and made my way straight back out to the airport. An early morning flight to Kota Kinabalu necessitated a night at the airport. Had a dental appointment, then back again to KL for a flight to Sydney on the 19.12.14.

The plan is to spend Christmas and New year in Sydney. Looking forward to seeing the firework display on new years eve over the Sydney Harbour bridge.

The prospect of getting back to warm balmy temperatures is pretty attractive.

24.12.14 Sydney

After a fairly long and protracted flight from Keflavik Iceland via Gatwick, Schiphol, and Kuala Lumpur have made it to Kingsford Smith Sydney. A temperature gradient from -3C in Reykjavik and snow to +32C clear blue-sky and sun drenched was somewhat disconcerting, but non the less welcome.DSCF0251

“We do not believe any group of men adequate enough or wise enough to operate without scrutiny or without criticism. We know that the only way to avoid error is to detect it, that the only way to detect it is to be free to inquire. We know that in secrecy error undetected will flourish and subvert”. - J Robert Oppenheimer.
